Update time!
11 weeks

136 pounds

Appetite is mostly back! I still don't want anything to do with chicken. I'm trying to eat lots of protein now that I feel like eating more.

I haven't noticed any cravings lately.

Nausea is gone. I've been feeling a little bloated the last couple days.

We had a midwife appointment on Tuesday. Erik came because this was supposed to be the first time to hear the heartbeat. I wasn't planning on buying a doppler, but I decided I had to for peace of mind. It was nice having him there anyway :)

I've been sleeping pretty well. Sometimes I lie awake for an hour and that sucks, but overall sleep is good. It's even better when Stella doesn't decide to wake up and raise hell for 5 minutes in the middle of the night.

My pants still button, but it is definitely not comfortable. I've resorted to using a hair tie in my button hole to give me a little more room. I really need to get a pair of maternity work pants. I don't think I'll be able to hold out with one pair until warmer weather gets here and I can wear my work dress capris from Stella's pregnancy.

My belly button is already changing. I think it's a bit early for this, but apparently my body surely doesn't. It seems like it's becoming more shallow already. Maybe it'll actually pop out this time.

Baby is the size of a lime this week.

Heart Beat!!!

Even though I couldn't find it last night, I found baby Goose's heart beat tonight!!!!

It's not the best picture and I tried to get a video, but as soon as I started taping (is that even still what it's called?) baby moved and I couldn't hear it any more.

The first time I found it was a couple minutes before I found it again and got to take a picture. Erik was sitting next to me and I said, "Hey, this is it!" I was so super excited! It took a bit to find Goosey again, but I did it!

EEEK! I'm so excited

Silly Goose :P

My appetite has been very small lately. Still, nothing sounds very good to eat. I can't do much meat. Fruits and veggies are where it's at for me. What else have I been eating lately?... Honey Bunches of Oats breakfast cereal, chocolate Malt O Meal, oatmeal, lettuce salads, jelly toast. My mind isn't working properly and I can't think of anything else.

Cravings: coffee with creamer, Chinese food.

Last Friday we took Stella to my dad's to stay the night because Erik and I both had to work Saturday morning. I was craving Chinese food from the Mandarin so we got me some. I ate an entire entree and 4 crab rangoon. I was miserable and when we got home I threw most of it up. At least it was delicious while I was eating it.

Then, Saturday, on our way to Perry to pick Stella up, I got hit with a terrible bout of car sickness. It was awful. I think it was caused by a mix of me being hungry and crocheting in the car. I suffered almost the whole ride there and was still sick for a bit after getting out of the car.

The sensation of Stella nursing lately has been making my skin crawl. I've definitely been limiting her nursing time and frequency. Weaning her came to my mind in a moment of desperation the other day. I'd still like to let her quit on her own terms, and don't mind the idea of tandem nursing. I've heard from friends who've done it that it's a really great way for siblings to bond and it helped eliminate sibling rivalry and jealousy in the older child. I'm all for anything that will make the transition to being a big sister easier for Stella. I also know that there are many other ways for her bond and feel involved when baby arrives. If I were to decide to wean her, I think I'd wait for her birthday and use that along with it. I haven't put too much thought into it because it's not something that's a huge priority right now.

I ordered a doppler last week and received it in the mail yesterday! I loved having one when I was pregnant with Stella. I almost didn't get one this time, but it provided so much peace of mind I gave in and ordered it. I found Stella in there at 9w4d, so I was sure I'd find baby Goose yesterday at 10 weeks. I tried and tried and tried and couldn't find the little sneak. I didn't let it worry me though. I was just disappointed. It's still pretty early. I'll probably try again daily until I find it.

Next Tuesday I have an appointment with Sheryl. Erik is going to this one because we'll hopefully hear the heartbeat for sure. I asked him to go to this one when I wasn't planning on buying the doppler, so now I feel kind of bad he took the whole day off. I might just wait until after we hear it with Sheryl to try the doppler again.

I'm still feeling like baby is a girl. I think the idea of another girl is just growing on me and I need to stop it. Baby could very well be a boy.

Baby is the size of a prune this week.

I forgot to take a picture yesterday, but I don't look any different anyway.

Eating habits haven't really changed. I still can't stand meat. Mostly all I want are fruit and vegetables. I made some monkey bread the other day. That was almost the worst idea I've ever had. I ate so much of that buttery, brown sugary, bready goodness. I felt like a cow.

Nausea is still hit and miss. I haven't thrown up in a while.

My nipple sensitivity is still there, but not as much. So nursing is going much better. I've finally night weaned Stella! She still wakes up, but she just comes in our room and snuggles us and falls asleep. It's awesome and I'm fine with it. I actually love her in our bed.

I had an appointment with Sheryl yesterday. Appointments aren't exciting yet, although she did try to hear the heartbeat. She's heard a couple babies as soon as 7w5d. She assured me not to be nervous if we didn't hear it because it is still very early. Of course, we didn't hear anything.

I still feel like baby is a girl. I don't know if I actually feel like baby is a girl, or if I feel like that because having a girl is what I'm used to. Either way, Stella and I refer to baby Goose as female.

Baby is the size of a raspberry this week.
